PRAGUE - VYSEHRAD

Legend says this was the first seat of Czech Royalty. Located on a bluff overlooking the Vlatave on the southern end of Prague, the site's first castle was actually built in the tenth century. Portions of ancient structures remain visible. The area is dominated by the twin-spired neo-Gothic St. Peter and St. Paul's Church. Its cemetery is the burial ground of many Czech notables.
